You will find the Holgate Brewhouse only about a 40 minutes drive from Shepherds Flat in the township of Woodend. Now if you are serious about beer then you seriously have to go here. After all, how good is a pub that brews its own beer!!

The Woodend Farmers Market has a large selection of stalls and produce, and is setup along the main road through Woodend (next to the Community Centre) on the first Saturday of each month. So as you can guess, the first Saturday of the month mornings can quite often be a bit of a mad dash for us as we like to get to both the Daylesford and Woodend Farmers Markets because both have great offerings.
